Huppah Hanging Method: The Four Poles
Your synagogue and/or florist may already have such poles available for your wedding. If they dont, consider
using 8-10 long closet rods, 1.5" thick wood dowels, or PVC pipes from your local home improvement
store. For more "natural" look, use thick bamboo trunks (some garden supply store carry those) or thick tree
branches. You can drill holes or screw in an eye hook to the top of each pole to allow easy connection
to the Huppah ribbons.
You may decorate the poles (especially recommended for the PVC pipes and closet rods) by painting them,
wrapping with fabric or wide ribbons, or even linear floral arrangements.
To help lighten the burden for your pole holders, consider "planting" the poles into outdoor
umbrella bases, flower pots filled with sand, or even Christmas tree stands.

Huppah Hanging Method: Freestanding canopy structure
Most synagogues and florists already have such Huppah frames available for weddings they facilitate. If they dont, ask your local Jewish book store, since some rent such structures. You may also consider using a "build your own Sukkah" type kit or hire a carpenter (or a welder) to build you a professional structure.
